Abstract:
Head lice infestations are, in our experience, more frequent and difficult to treat today than in the past. This is probably due to the increasing resistance to classical insecticides, documented in many countries1,2. Other factors can also be of influence, such as the lack of clinical studies validating the application guidelines and the results of many of the products sold in Spain, and the lack of medical control on diagnosis and treatment.
