Abstract:

We discuss the strategy for the Preparticipation Sports Examination, and the health screening of young athletes, specially focussed to the cardiovascular screening, to rule out the most frequent causes of sudden death. We discuss the necessity of lab tests and other diagnostic tests to answer the question: is sports sudden death avoidable?
