Abstract

Hyperprolactinemia, the most common endocrine disorder of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, is rare in the pediatric population and is generally due to benign causes. The possibility of tumors, although infrequent, should be considered due to its greater clinical significance. Among these, pituitary macroadenomas are the most commonly detected, and they well to treatment with cholinergic agonists.
