Abstract

Pyocele is a rare but serious complication of scrotal infections in children, characterized by pus accumulation within the tunica vaginalis of the testicle. This condition may result from epididymitis that does not respond to initial anti-inflammatory treatment. We present the case of a 9-year-old boy with scrotal pain that progressed to pyocele after conservative management. Early detection and appropriate treatment are essential to avoid severe complications, such as testicular atrophy or infertility. This case emphasizes the importance of close clinical monitoring and a multidisciplinary approach.
